I took the train to Boston to hear Steve Young's noontime recital at King's Chapel. and it was a really nice experience.  I saw Marcia Martinson for the first time since they left Old South, and Steve put about as much music into a 30 minute program as could be.  His program included Bruhns, Dunham, Koetrsier, Locklair, and a fabulous set of variations by Zachary Wadsworth. Here are some photos of the trip.
My first sight on  the subway.  Who says you can't have privacy these days?
One dreads to think what may be going on under there!

Park Street Church, one of the glories of Boston architecture

A moorish influence, beautiful

King's Chapel.
The church has Ionic single columns on the outside and
twin Corinthian columns thruout the inside.

The State Capital
Bravo!!

The  old State House, wonderful
French Empire style with Mansard Roof.

The first public school in America, the Latin School was here before
the State House.  This is a plaque on the sidewalk

Ben Franklin with friend.  This was the first "heroic" figure carved in America
without Greek dress, but in every-day dress.

The small graveyard beside King's Chapel
This is a unique headstone for the time.

Death snuffing our the candle while Time
tries to stop him

Looking back toward the Common

The Charles Fisk organ at King's Chapel.
The division at the very bottom is directly in front of the
organist's face and maybe that is why Steve closed the doors after the first three pieces.
It must be quit noisy
