Carter's Birthday Brunch

Carter's eighth birthday gave Scott and Cheryl impetus to create an outdoor brunch, and magnificent it was!  Here is the birthday boy!

What a feast.  Cheryl kept bringing out more and more.
Here's the waffles.

and Fruit and Sausage

Rigo and Carol and da bacon!

Time to open presents!

Glossy Ibis, etc.

Two trips to Burrage Park, a wonderful sighting of Glossy Ibis, the Sandhill Cranes again, and some indulgent photos of my flowers.

Glossy  Ibis

Sandhill Cranes

I couldn't believe the color of this bee.

And to my flowers.

Every picture in this blog was taken with my 100-400 Zoom, and I can't believe the versatility.
This bug is about the size of a fingernail, and look at the color!   I have a macro lens that doesn't do
this well (the lens stabilization really makes a difference).
