Lawren Harris, Picasso at MFA with Barbara and Bill

I wasn't particularly anxious to see the Lawren Harris exhibit, and then Sebastion Smee, the art critic for the Boston Globe wrote a glowing article (pun  intended) for Harris' glowing art.  It is absolutely true, you have to see the real thing hanging in front of you to appreciate the almost spiritual worship of nature in these paintings.  We saw also the contemporary clothing, Picasso, and students of Hokusai and they were all really entertaining.  Strongly recommended.

Great Architectural Etchings from 1890

I've had a book published in Boston by Estes and Lauriat, quite possibly a Catholic publication, which was illustrated by wonderful etchings.  I've had to dispose of the book but I scanned some of the etchings, and I hope you enjoy them.  I have always absolutely loved black and white illustrations, pen and ink, and of course etchings, and especially architectural renderings.
The titles of some of them may be innacurate, and I will try to decipher the artist's names, although the publication was very casual about giving the artists credit.
Enjoy them, I sure have.
