Our famous Great Horned Own (see the blog of May 15) was taken to the New England Wild Life Center, in Weymouth, and they released him back into the wild a-ok, which is great. I took my three year old grandson, Alex, to the center to find out what it was all about, and he had a marvelous time, especially with the large African Tortoise, and the turtle tank. It didn't hurt that they had a Red-tailed Hawk in residence, a Tarantula, Goats, and Raccoons.
And, this afternoon, a georgeous day, I went to Duxbury Beach and saw Least Terns, other assorted "usual suspects", and, bless my soul, the Piping Plover. So here they all are.
