Reunion Blog, Final: The Hays Log Cabin, relatives

This final reunion posts has a few people shots and coverage of the patriarchal log cabin home of the Hays family, c. 1820.
It was certainly one of the most fun and educational trips ever, and I regret waiting so long to go to a Hayes/Tappan affair.
Matt Wauchope at his church choir director.  Eight relatives joined in with his choir.
I hope someone took a picture of the choir!

The George Newton Hays homestead,
a log cabin of 1820.  There was discussion about why Sherman didn't burn this house, like every  other house
around it, and I suggested that maybe it had been taken over by former slaves.

Barbara and Susan walked across the fields to the cemetery, and photographed the inscriptions

Alison Tappan and Sally Patton
What astounds me is the conviviality of all these warm and gracious relatives.
What a cool clan to be part of!

This was take right before the Atlanta trip.
This is Heather and Belle, my hosts for my trip this week to Beijing
