Daniel Webster Farm

My friend Greg Gail invited me to join his camera club from Plymouth for a photo shoot at Daniel Webster Farm in Marshfield.  This is one of the most wonderful places on the South Shore to wander with a camera.  I hoped to get a decent shot of a Bobolink, which I did not have, and was mostly  successful.  Here is what we saw
Our greeter at the cemetery across from the farm

In the East Blind, Barn Swallows posed for us.

A nest inside the blind.  The birds are almost fearless in their
determination to get in, in spite of all the spectators at the windows

A Bobolink, one of the success birds returning to the farm.
Their call sounds just like that, "Bobolink"

As we were returning to the parking lot, a fly-over from a Great Blue Heron

And upon our arrival at the parking lot, a young Red-tailed Hawk perched
right above us, posing and refusing to fly away.
A great way to end the morning.
