AZ3 Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

One of the great museums on the planet, a zoo with breathtaking concern for the animals and their surroundings.
And one of the best places in Tucson to find birds.

Greeting us at the entrance, a handler with a Peregrine Falcon.  The museum has raptor
free flights, but it was cancelled the day we attended, sick trainer.

Ladder-backed Woodpecker (life list)

Mountain Lion (Puma)

Mexican Wolf

Harris' antelope ground squirrel.

Crested Caracara

Barn Owl

Bobcat

Interesting panel in the restaurant.

Costa's Hummingbird

Anna's Hummingbird (immature)

This is a side view.  The photo below is a frontal view, and it shows
what the light can do to the same bird.
