On the hottest day in September I can remember, and under a merciless sun, we gathered at the New England Dragway in Epping, NH, to watch Rigo redeem his gift certificate to drive a dragster. It was one of the loudest things I have ever taken part in, but it was incredible fun. Here are some photos.

We thought Rigo would be racing around 12:30 PM, but it wasn't until 2:00.

Rigo did four trips down the track, once 1/3 of the track, once 1/2, and
then finally two full runs. There would be a brief gunning of the engine and spinning of the tires
to warm them up (better traction), a pause, yellow, yellow, yellow, green, and off down the track.
The best speed allowed (because of the heat)(the engines have rev controls) was 142 mph.
