Cartago Cathedral

One of my goals in Costa Rica was to see the cathedral in Cartago, between San Jose and Rancho Naturalista, probably the most dramatic church in the  country.  And Juan, our driver, was kind enough to stop and let me jump out and run in.
And it was as magnificent as I expected.

In the aisle, people walking on their knees, having started from the square in front.

A huge tomato farm

Arriving at Rancho Naturalista, I made a beeline to the Hummingbird pools where the birds
come in the evening and bathe.  Saw my first Snowcap, too dark to photograph,
but I did get these Chestnut-sided Warblers, migrating through to the states.
