Point Judeth, Satchoist NWR

I drove to Point Judith, RI, in hope of seeing some Alcids (Razorbills, etc) to no avail, and then drove over to Satchoist NWR in hopes of seeing the Barn Owl, but again no success.
It was a spectacularly beautiful day, however, and I had a great hike in the snow.  The night had produced one of those pristine snows that clung to the trees, and that was worth getting up for.
Her are the day's photos.
Duxbury Beach from last week, at about 5 degrees

Slater's Mill in Middleboro

It's hard to imagine the violent alewife activity here now.

This is the Point Judith, RI lighthouse

This may be a research vessel out of Wood's Hole

The Ferry to Block Island.  I am trying to convince Susan to go out for a day trip  next week.
Then, maybe I'll see some Alcids

The usual Loon in among the fishing boats

This Robin thinks it's spring.  What color in the snow.
