And another day of rewards and pleasures, first playing the anthem and postlude at Old South Union Church in the morning (Handel's "Every Valley Shall be Exaulted" and Eddy's "Festival Prelude on Old Hundred" always with the collaboration of Steve Young, Old South's organist, and great musician, and then off to Saquish, to spend the afternoon with both my boys, their wives, and the four grandchildren.  The day was wet and dark, but cooled off, and became absolutely beautiful toward the evening.  Here's the days photography.

The single hardest day hike I ever tried.  This is after the infamous "Knife Edge" trail from
the lower peak.  Scott had to lift my feet into the car.  I remember our first food after the hike was a

A gift from Ken's family, a strong signal for me to get out into the woods with Jackson and Olliver.
I received a coupon for one birdwatching trip to Newburyport with Ken and the boys.
(Perfect timing with the fall migration)

and of course Saquish is a great place for shorebirds.
I had to throw in a few photos
