Jackson 8th.Grad, Heritage

Jackson graduated from St. John's Jr. High, and received  surprise award in Science!  Very proud.
Today Susan and I travelled to Heritage Plantation in Sandwich, to see the Rhodies.
(That's Rhododendron).
Here are a few photos:

Susan at St. John's.  We arrived very early and a security guard let us in early (I don't think he was supposed to), so we had the pick of the seats.

Playing the procession for the grads.

Mount Auburn and dissappointment

Usually a Mount Auburn Cemetery visit is wonderful, as all the warblers flying through tend to converge there.  I've seen 19 species in one morning there.  This time there was a wind and photography was very difficult.  Here are a few images, but I wish I could show you more quality.
There was also a very disturbing sight of a dead Great Horned Owl lying face down in the little pool at "the Dell", and that was a sad sight indeed.
