After a wonderful New Years Eve party, I managed to get up at 6:15 and start the new year with some bird watching.  I plan to photograph as many species as possible in one year, with the results allways n my blog.  I had a great start, with especially rewarding a good shot of a Redpoll.  There has been a flock of 50 or so at Duxbury beach, but they are very shy, and fly at the slightest motion, and I finally managed to get one fairly close to the car.  What a beautiful way to start the year!  (what isn't included in the bird photos were a Black-Backed Gull, and a Blue Jay, both accidently deleted)
