An exhausting trip because of the walk, (and my walking in the wrong direction!), but we made it, and visited the ICA for the first time in quite a few years.
As always, a rewarding trip in on the Hingham Ferry. We Met Barbara and Bill, and toured the ICA for about two hours, found dinner at a Brazilian salad bowl shop, and caught the ferry back.
The outstanding, truly great artist Firelei Baez was the main exhibition, and her impact on me equaled Raquib Shaw at the Gardner. She paints enormous canvases with a brilliant technique, and coupling that with a wide variety of creations (sculpture, installation) filled a large amount or rooms with great art. I will do a separate blog on her next.
But for now, enjoy the trip, Boston harbor, and some of the other artist represented.
