Don and the Canadian Rockies, blog 2

Here is the second day in the Rockies.  We travelled to the Bugaboo Glacier area, a reknown
Heli-ski area.  Again, the day was very grey with smoke, and the trip was pleasurable for wild flowers, and water, but mounting views were limited.
We didn't know what to expect (all new territory for me), but the height and magnificence of the
mountains along the way were breathtaking.

The road followed a river all the way.

A trail that Don tried.  It was quite a grade up hill.

We got into the very luxurious lodge and got a free cup of coffee and a cookie, and
this view of the glacier, barely discernable in the smoke from all the fires.

Wild flowers in abundance.

At this  point I've coinviced Don to get up at 4:30 the next day to get to Lake Louise
before sunrise, and before the mobs of people. (Next Blog).
