Architecture in Saratoga Springs

Early Sunday morning, before joining Jackson and Oliver for breakfast, I drove around town looking for great Victorian architecture, and found plenty of it.  The morning was very dark and cloudy, so many of the pictures were just ok, but after breakfast the sun came out, and I re-took a few.  An architecture fanatic's town, for sure.

I hope you enjoyed this tour.  Many of these home are either museums, or are open to the public.  I would go back just to see the inside of the first picture.  Obviously got its inspiration from some European castle.  Pandemonium in architecture!

The Museum Building

Saratoga Auto Museum.

A special surprise, an exhibition of autos and gear from James Bond movies!  The actual cars used in the 007 series, including many of the maimed and destroyed (Remember when Bond is racing down a highway and sees the body of his girlfriend laying in the middle of the road and he jerks the wheel and flips this magnificent Aston-Marton over like five times?).  THAT car is in the exhibit!

Here is that exhibition plus some of the museum's owned cars.
