Blog 2: Santa Fe strolling.

Since we had no car, we walked downtown in about 10 minutes, and what a gratifying walk it was.  There is art everywhere, around the state capitol, (a block from the B&), shop after shop, incredible color surrounds you.  And temperatures perfect for casual walking.

A walk yields up art everywhere around you.

The Loretto Inn and Spa is world famous, and takes its architectural inspiration from the
Taos Pueblo.  Of all the sights I wanted to see in NM, the Taos Pueblo was top of my list, and it, like
all the pueblos, was closed to the public because of Covid.  Not even a distant view to be had.

Art around the State Capitol:
Dan Namingha
"Passage" 1999

Estella Loretto
"Earth Mother"  1992

A memorial to the displacement and persecution of native tribes from all over the US.
