Nova Scotia: Blog 3: Peggy's Cove, and Halifax

Bruce and Irene took Barbara, Bill, and I to Peggy's Cove, one of the loveliest spots on the Atlantic Coast, and then in the evening we went into Halifax.
We actually visited the cove slightly west of the famous lighthouse, but a spot Bruce and Irene love.

Beautiful trail through the rocks.  Incredibly bright sunlight.

The lighthouse

In Halifax, at the town park.  They were closing, but allowed us to walk across to the other entrance.

In the lake, a model of the Titanic, with its own Great Blue Heron.

Beautiful bandstand.

At this point, we visited the new city library, which was spectacular.

A garden roof and café on the roof of the library.
One of the huge cruise ships that regularly stop in Halifax.

As it got dark, we took the ferry across the Bedford Basin to Dartmouth for dinner.
This is looking back at Halifax.

This was in the men's room of the Wooden Monkey restaurant.

Following Barbara and Bill in their red Prius to Moncton through the glorious foliage.  We made it in time to see the famous
tidal bore, and watched two surfers riding the bore.
