Oliver at the Harvard Natural History Museum

I stayed with Oliver, my second grandson, while Ken and Erin went to New York to celebrate her 50th. birthday.  Oliver suggested the Harvard Nat. Hist Museum, and I was delighted. There is something there for almost everyone's interest.

Jackson at the MFA

It has been quite a while since I have done a blog, and I am delighted to catch up with one of the pleasures of my life, visiting a museum with a grandchild.

Jackson was home from Skidmore, and so we invited him down overnight, and then had a great time at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.  Here are a few pictures of new art to me, and some old favorites.

Frank Bowling was a new artist to me, and the exhibition was very well done, and probably as good a representation as one would hope for.

The Cy Twombly exhibit spent a great deal of time showing the contribution of ancient artifacts to his work, and quite frankly, I found the artifacts a hell of a lot more interesting.  Sorry, that's just the way I am.  Surely craft counts for something?

I'd probably find difficulty titling this too.
Perhaps something phallic?  Yeah, probably.

Is there anything better than seeing a grandchild enjoying art?
