What a day! For my 71st. birthday, Susan planned a day at the Fuller Craft Museum, one of my favorite places, and then a trip on the harbor express to Boston for dinner.
The Fuller is one of the most under-appreciated museums in the greater Boston area. Not only does it have a marvelous resident collection of wood and glass art, it hosts fantastic showings of art that a place like the MFA wouldn't touch. And all in a space that is a work of art in itself. One of the great exhibits in recent menory was the Michael Cooper exhibit of his sculpture, created machines and objects of metal, wood, and plastic that was a revelation.
But today's trip centered on a wood carving showing, which was magical. I give you a tour.
